Paper Source getting many more Happy Returns

By Annlee Ellingson | Aug 28, 2018

Paper Source is a happy partner of Happy Returns.

The Chicago-based stationery chain is expanding its partnership to put the Silicon Beach startup’s Return Bars in all of its 125 stores in 45 metro areas nationwide.

The move expands on a partnership that started with 18 Paper Source locations in Chicago and Los Angeles in March. That pilot program has since expanded to half of Paper Source’s locations.

Happy Returns desks will be in place across Paper Source’s network by the end of next month, bringing its total footprint to 260 locations in 50 metro areas.

“Based on our pilot program, Happy Returns visitors are new to the brand, and during their visits, they become Paper Source customers at a very encouraging rate,” said Paper Source COO Jenica Myszkowski in a statement.

Happy Returns puts return desks for e-tailers in shopping centers and stores, providing a convenient physical location to return unwanted items purchased from such online retailers such as Outerknown, Everlane, Eloquii, UNTUCKit, Carbon38, Rothy’s, Tradesy and others.

The company has grown from 50 Return Bar locations at the start of the year and celebrated its 100th location in early May.

Happy Returns also recently expanded to a few college campuses.

“It took us two years to open 100 locations, but alongside premier partners like Paper Source, it took only four months to open the next 150,” added Happy Returns co-founder and CEO David Sobie. “Our growth is accelerating, and the business is driving value for retailers, locations and shoppers.”
