Happy Returns expands physical presence in deal with Cost Plus World Market

Happy Returns is expanding the reach of its returns service.

The company announced it will place its Returns Bars in Cost Plus World Market’s 276 stores nationwide by the end of September. The rollout follows a successful pilot program that began in April and included 11 Cost Plus stores in Brooklyn, N.Y., Columbus, Ohio, Dallas, and Lubbock, Texas.

Happy Returns’ in-store return bars are designed to give customers an easy method to return items — with no box or label needed — from online retailers. Online retailers that participate include Everlane, Rothy’s, Draper James, Eloquii and Revolve.

“We’re eager to expand our partnership with Happy Returns to all our stores nationwide,” said Jack Schwefel, CEO, World Market. “Through the innovative Happy Returns solution, online shoppers with returns are finding a delightful experience that increases our store traffic and drives new World Market customers.”

By the end of September, Happy Returns’ network will include more than 700 Return Bar locations in 143 metro areas nationwide. Its partners include shopping centers operated by Simon, Taubman, Westfield and Macerich. Last year, the company rolled out Return Bars on several college campuses.
